Our first time playing New Plymouth, which admittedly is kinda surprising after 9 years, was a bit of a flop. Which isn't to say we played badly, Sims filled in for Steph, who is still coming to terms with her new found fame, and ripped up the skins.

The flop portion can be attributed to a lack of punters. Apparently the "exclusive" swingers club across the road was much more popular. Not that we had any problem with watching soaked girls in small dresses lining up in the rain, it just would have been nice if they'd come to us to dry off in front of the blazing excess at the front of the stage. Big thanks to all the pimps that made it happen though, it was a really fun last show of the year for all of us. The hospitality was excellent. A special mention must be made of the girls in Bulls. Don't worry babes, we'll be back.

Everyone knows Steph is a MASSIVE bitch, and has gone out of her way to prove it once again. This time by winning a competition to re-record "The Passenger" with Iggy Pop and making us alllllll jealous. Bitch.

Good times with the Ataris the other night. We got cut a bit short after our costumes were sabotaged back stage, but still managed to fire off a few boners. Better yet, the Ataris handed over the rights to "teenage riot" instructing us to "do what we like with it".. so you can all look forward to "gheenis riot" coming to a show near you.

Big night in Wellington with the Ataris tonight. I have my wish list ready, if they don't play 'Let it Burn', there will be trouble.

Good times in Palmy on Sunday, cheers to the tummy faithful.. and their many children. I felt guilty as sin till a wee fella came up to me and said "that was soooo aweeesome". A tender moment shared over "All of you bitches get up in this motherfucker".

Plus we bribed the buggers with 1400 glowsticks, kids love glowing! You can see photo's on the pics page thanks to Spence and Abel. We also handed out 10 handycams, and while they didn't capture me puking my guts out after our set, we'll still cut it together and stick it up soon. Yay internet.

The Stomach is turning 21! An amazing achievement considering all the highs and lows the place has faced over the years, to have survived this long and done so much for NZ music is simply awesome!

The Stomach is where it all started for us, our first show, our first recordings.. we've spent more than our fair share of time hanging around in that dark, dank place. So many memories. As if on cue though, it's had a complete refit! It's looking a bit too swanky to be honest.

We've been invited to join the party and help celebrate the festivities! It's going to be fun in the sun on a Sunday afternoon in Palmy! Kicking off at 2 in the arvo, Oct 11.

We'll be filming a couple of songs, so feel free to squeeze yourself into the video!

Thanks to Nic and Miho for a very enjoyable weekend, hopefully some pics will filter our way shortly to stick up on the internets. Good times, especially in Palmy, The Royal gave us each our own room, pants off parties ensued.

The last time I was at an Ataris show I jumped off the speaker stack during Brubeck, KO-ing myself and ending up having to lance a golf ball sized lump. Neat.

We'll be rocking our old stomping ground of Palmerston North this Friday at a newly refurbished Royal. Will be great to see old friends, get drunk, naked and run around with them. So come be a part of the party!

Next night we'll be @ The Watusi in Wellington, much of the same, but probably more hot chicks and less bogans.
